MEET THE STAFF
Bill Collier - Wigan Athletic Community Trust Officer.
Bill started with Wigan Athletic's Football in the Community in 1994 working his way up from trainee coach to Community Officer. Bills qualifications are UEFA 'A' UEFA 'B' UEFA 'C' as well as FA Tutor for FA Level 1 and 2. Bill has been in charge of the Football in the Community and subsequently the Community Trust since 1999 and is the longest serving Commnity Officer at Wigan Athletic.
Hayley Turner - Senior Assistant Community Trust Officer,
Hayley currently holds the FA Level 2 coaching certificate as well as Adults Other Than Teachers award (A.O.T.T.S). She is also establishing a girls development project which will vastly increase the number of girls getting involved with football, alongside being the head coach of Parbold Saturday club.
Lee Collier- KICKZ Co-ordinator,
Lee is a former Wigan school of excellence player who is now the 'Kickz' project co-ordinator. Lee is at his second spell with the community formally as a assistant community officer in 2002. Lee is currently studying for a Degree in Sports Coaching and is working towards his F.A Level 3. He currently holds a F.A Level 2 coaching certificatee.
Adam Sherratt-Assistant Football In The Community Officer,
Adam started with the community scheme voluntary to begin with, then worked straight from school in 2004 as a YTS coach. He is now a full time Assistant Community Officer and passed his Level 2 coaching badge in November 2005 as well as gaining a HNC in Sport and Exercise Science. He is also in the process of launching an Ethnic Inclusion Programme, for ethnic minorities in the Wigan Area. Adam is also head of the Deanery High School Saturday Soccer Club.
Chris Baxter-Football In The Community Level 1 Coach,
Chris is currently studying for his level 2 coaching certificate, he plans to do his assessment in the foreseeable future. Chris is also taking a national diploma in sport.
Neil Cullen-Football In The Community Level 1 Coach,
Neil has just recently joined the Wigan Athletic Community scheme when he left school. He will be traning for his level 2 badge shortly and will hoping to pass in the summer of 2008.
Tom Whelan - Football in the Community Coach,
Tom is the newest member of the team who has joined as a Youth Trainee. Tom is making excellent progress already and is working towards his level 2.
