KING ON ROVERS DEFEAT
The Jamaican striker was more concerned about losing 3-1 to Blackburn rather than getting his first goal for the club.
The 27-year old scored from the penalty spot to level the scores to 1-1 at Ewood Park after Christopher Samba's rash challenge on Emile Heskey saw the Rovers defender sent off. But King was downbeat and told Wigan World subscribers it was a bad day at the office.
King, who has now made 8 appearances since his move from Watford said "It doesn't really pay dividends that I scored. It was a disappointing result and we could have kicked on but instead we got punished. We just weren't at the races all over the pitch but fair play to Blackburn they were the better side today.
"We have picked up some good results recently but today has brought us back down to earth and it has made us realise that we still have a lot of work to do before the end of the season.
"I don't think it has dented our confidence, it is more that it was just a lesson that if you don't do your job then you get punished. We have to take positives and go forward."
