WREXHAM YOUTH 1 LATICS YOUTH 4
Wrexham 1 Wigan Athletic 4
Ashton lad Adam Prince got his first goal for the club as David Lowe's Youth Team made it two wins in two weeks over high flying Wrexham.
Callum McCmanaman netted for the second time in a week in the second half and Chris McCaughtrie also weighed in with a brace to make it a comfortable win against a team who, up until last weekend, had only conceded two goals all season.
ROYAL PERFORMANCE: Adam Prince on Target
Latics were 1-0 up at half time after Adam Prince, who has been injured for most of the season, got on the end of a second phase corner. In the second period, the lads turned the screw when top scorer Chris McCaughtrie scored twice and first year Callum McMananman sealed the win with Wigan's fourth.
After last weeks victory over Wrexham in the Puma Youth Alliance Cup, David Lowe said he was looking for his side to push on, and that's exactly what he got from them.
2 IN 2: Callum McManaman is on fire in front of goal
"They did very well winning the game convincingly 4-1" said Lowey,
"But also the performance was very good, I had a few young lads playing, some first years, and they did exceptionally well."
SUPER MAC: Leading Scorer Chris McCaughtrie
Another positive from the game was the return of Lewis Field, who made his come-back from the bench. Field suffered a broken leg in a pre-season game but has worked hard to ensure a speedy recovery.

Some of the Youth Team will be involved in the reserve team game at Sunderland on Tuesday night and the Manager is keen that they take the confidence from this result and more importantly the performance into the game and push to take that form to the next level.
"It's a big step up in standard, we know that, but the lads have got to step up to the plate.
"They've produced great football at Youth Team level and if they're selected for the reserves then they've got to produce that quality in the reserves."
The next Youth Team game is against Stockport at the Club's Christopher Par training ground next Saturday 3rd November. They have also this week been drawn aganst Morecambe in the second round of the Puma Youth Alliance Cup.
